PEOPLE * LOVE * PHOTOS is a film about photography and family life, sexuality and love. It looks at different human role models, whether in sexual releationships or in family life.


The film accompanies Tanyth Berkeley as she photographs people on the street, the so-called “forgotten ones”, in the tradition of Diane Arbus.


Ashley MacLean and Traci Matlock, the superstars of, draw us into a new visionary relm of sexuality with its various facets ranging from vulnerability and longing to pain and shamelessnes.


In the last part of the film Elinor Carucci shares her thoughts on family life, love and motherhood.



Tanyth Berkeley was born in Hollywood, California, and currently lives and works in New York, NY. She received her MFA in photography from Columbia University in 2004 and holds a BA from CCNY in photography and creative writing. Recent exhibitions include “New Photography”, The Museum of Modern Art, New York, in 2007/2008.



Collaborative artistic team Traci Matlock and Ashley Maclean are Superstars of Flickr and also well known from the internet platform

They also exhibited at Union Art Gallery, Milwaukee, and DeSantos Gallery, Houston.



Elinor Carucci was born in Israel and lives and works in New York.

Carucci’s work is an intimate glimpse into her life and that of her parents, husband and children. As Carucci explains:


‘The camera is, in a sense, both a way to get close, and to break free. It is a testimony to independence as well as a new way to relate to the world.’


Her initial photographs often depicted her mother and now as a mother herself she frequently depicts her own children.


Solo exhibitions in London include The Photographers Gallery in 1998 and Gagosian Gallery in 2003.
